Linda McNeill of Run the Risk Consulting has made it her mission to help businesses thrive. With more than 10 years of experience in business entrepreneurship and expertise in risk management, ISO standards, budgeting and finance, business and strategic planning, and customer and supplier contracts, Linda is committed to empowering small business owners.
‘I’m passionate about helping small and micro businesses succeed, especially if I can empower women to become business owners,’ Linda says. ‘I enjoy working with clients to help them understand their risks, develop a clear strategic plan, and improve their financial management processes. I find it incredibly rewarding to see my clients grow and thrive.’
Linda particularly loves working with small businesses because she believes that they are the backbone of the economy. ‘Small business owners are often very passionate about their work, and I find it inspiring to help them achieve their goals,’ she adds.
According to Linda, risk management and business planning are critical components of running a successful micro business. By identifying and managing risks, businesses can reduce the likelihood of costly mistakes or setbacks. A clear business plan and strategy are also essential for long-term success and growth, particularly in the first few years while establishing a business.
When she’s not working, Linda enjoys spending time with her young family and beloved dog. She also volunteers with local community and refugee support organisations. Living in Dja Dja Wurrung country on a small Merino wool farm just outside of Castlemaine, Linda is committed to making a positive impact in her community and beyond.
